1982年畢業(yè)于中國(guó)科技大學(xué)地球物理專業(yè),獲學(xué)士學(xué)位;1992年在中國(guó)科學(xué)院測(cè)量與地球物理研究所獲固體地球物理學(xué)博士學(xué)位。1995年起在武漢大學(xué)工作,分別擔(dān)任教授、教授、二級(jí)教授和珞珈杰出教授。2024年8月任南方科技大學(xué)地球與空間科學(xué)系講席教授。長(zhǎng)期從事重力場(chǎng)理論及應(yīng)用研究,研究領(lǐng)域涉及深空探測(cè)與極地測(cè)繪。承擔(dān)及完成國(guó)家和省部級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目30余項(xiàng);發(fā)表科研論文230余篇, 其中:SCI100余篇、EI 50余篇;培養(yǎng)研究生90余名,其中:博士近50名;三次赴南北極從事科學(xué)考察和研究;獲國(guó)家科技進(jìn)步二等獎(jiǎng)一項(xiàng)。
